he organized numerous milongas and founded the first tango festival Berlin2002 with Miichael Rühl. Actually since almost 3years he is the hoster o the popular dance spot for traditional tango LA MILONGA VILLA KREUZBERG.

Giuseppe-el Capitan-Clemente(IT)
Giuseppe passion for the Argentine Tango begun more than 6 years ago, while he lived in Brussel. Since then he started studing Tango in whole its forms, music, text, and Orchestras history. He made several visit to Argentina and Uruguay and in the other Tango’s places of South America,  and also visited the Colombian enclave  of Tango:  Medellin, the city where Carlos Gardel died. 

He loves listen the whole Tango since the biginning to the present, and as DJ he prefers the “Golden years” of Tango; he believes that the music written between the 1930’ and 1950’ was the one written by the best composers, executed by the best orchestras, and sang by the best singers of the Tango. 

In the recent years he regularly Djed in almost all the Milongas in Rome, where he moved since few years, and he is the DJ resident at La Stazione – La Milonga del Rio and at La Milonga del Barrio, (the seat of Alejandra Mantiñan school).

In 2010 and 2011 Giuseppe was invited as DJ to Special Evenings and Festivals

Hernan Ohaco (AR)
RH+ was born in Buenos Aires Province in 1975.
His attachment to music are from early ages when he produced and conduct a radio show called "La Boxing Music" a program that was well know around Buenos Aires. Since then he got his interests on Playing Latin Rythms at many Dance places but it was after his 30´s that he got into tango Djing bringing alive all memories recorded deep from his childhood onto his senses. 

Characterized for putting the right mood for the dancers, his styles is classic to the max getting the best from the Golden Era of Tango straight into the dance floor.
His Tango character will infuse Tango moods straight to your Blood Stream.


El Ingeniero (GR)
A constant researcher and digger of the golden era.He is an explorer of moods and tunes. Carefully watches the traffic in the pista and matches the best music with the abilities of the dancers. 
El Ingeniero is a living tangotreasure chest ,full of stories and tales.



Manolis Kotzampasis (GR)
Since he started dancing tango, he realised the fascinating energy that tango music contains, which led him to start DJing at milongas.
His main purpose, as a tango DJ, is to transfer this energy to the dancers, providing them with inspiration. Depending on the mood of the milonga and the level of the dancers, he makes his selections through a rythmical, smooth or lyrical approach.
The vast majority of his music selections comes from the golden age orchestras.
He is DJing mainly in Athens,in several milongas and festivals such as Athens Tango Festival and Tango Greece Festival.''


 Leon Vlieger and Theodoris Georgedakis are our special quests "alternative tango Djs" for evening chill out  sessions and totaly danceable tunes.

We had a dream.
Three days in the Old Venecian Harbor of Chania, at the best season of the year.

Τι ειναι το CTX?

Το Σάββατο 1 Οκτωβρίου θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο ΚΑΜ το πρώτο tango exchange project.

To CTX (CretanTango eXchange) φιλοξενείται στα πλαίσια του πρώτου μαραθώνιου tango στα Χανια Κρήτης.

Βασικός πυρήνας του CTX ειναι οτι τελικά,..
it takes more than two to tango .Ο χορός αυτός ειναι βαθιά κοινωνικός και ποτέ δεν χορεύουμε oυσιαστικά μόνοι ή σαν ζευγάρι, αλλά πάντα ενταγμένοι σε μια μεγαλύτερη αγκαλιά. Ανα πάσα στιγμή ειμαστε τμήματα ενός μικρογραφικού κοινωνικού ιστού που συμφέρον κοινό ειναι η υγεία και η ανάπτυξη του.

Προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση, η φιλοσοφία πίσω απο το CTX είναι η δημιουργική ανταλλαγή απόψεων και η προσφορά προς μια ολοένα αναπτυσσόμενη tangoκοινότητα .

Η εξερεύνηση διαφορετικών τεχνικών και απόψεων, -άσχετα με το αν μας αρέσουν ή όχι- συμβάλει αποφασιστικά στην διαμόρφωση μιας προσωπικής χορευτικής ταυτότητας.

Ανεξάρτητα απο το επίπεδο σας και την ιδιότητα σας μπορείτε να συμμετέχετε σαν εισηγητής. Οποιοσδήποτε πιστεύει οτι έχει να μοιραστεί κάτι με την υπόλοιπη οικογένεια του tango,είναι ευπρόσδεκτος. Θεωρίες, τεχνικές, θέματα προς συζήτηση, τοποθετήσεις πάνω σε θέματα τεχνικής, ή μουσικότητας, αλλά και προβληματισμοί, ιδέες και προτάσεις που εμπνέουν.

Ποιοι δηλαδή μπορεί να ειναι εισηγητές?

Οπως είπαμε το επίπεδο δεν έχει σημασία. Αυτό που μετράει είναι η αγάπη σας προς το tango και η επιθυμία σας να ανταλλάξετε και να συνδιαλλαχτείτε με την κοινότητα μεταφέροντας τους προβληματισμούς σας και τις ιδέες σας.

Πως λειτουργεί το tangoexchange?

Στον χώρο του μαραθωνίου (Μεγαλο Αρσενάλι),
και στα πλαίσια της μεσημεριανής-απογευματινής milonga, οι εισηγητές στήνουν μικρά “πηγαδάκια” στα οποία αναλύουν τις απόψεις τους. Οι επισκέπτες θα μπορούν ελεύθερα να κινούνται απο τον ένα πυρήνα ενδιαφέροντος στον άλλον, να συμμετέχουν, να πειραματίζονται και να αλληλεπιδρούν,μέσα στις θεματολογίες των εισηγητών που θα είναι αναρτημένες και κοινοποιημένες απο πριν.


Πως μπορώ να γραφτώ,/συμμετέχω?

Σαν εισηγητής απαιτείται η εκδήλωση ενδιαφέροντος ώστε να μπορέσει να στηθεί το πρόγραμμα με την θεματολογία του tangoexchange.

What is a CTX (CretanTangoeXchange)?
The CretanTangoeXchange will take place in Saturday 1st October, as a hosted project of ChaniaTangomarathon, during the afternoon milonga in Arsenali (KAM). The main concept is that it takes much more than two to Tango. As dancers, we belong to a large Tango community, constantly growing and developing. Our common interest is a healthy and strong pluralistic society.

Exploring differences and techniques will forge your tango identity. What counts is not your dance level, but your interest in questioning ideas, trying new concepts and digging into emotional notions.



Who are going to be Moderators?

As mentioned before, level does not matter. Your love, devotion and will to exchange with the community does.

How CTX works?

During the Saturday's noon milonga, the moderators will set up small groups of interest in the pista, exploring, discussing, demonstrating, analyzing their point of view on various subjects. (example: Mario's ideas about gantzos, John's opinion about interacting with rhythm, Helaine's concept about flexible embrace, and troubleshooting in communication etc). People will move freely from one moderator to the other, trying out ideas, exchanging, dancing and growing.

How can I register?

If you wish to be a moderator then let us know your subject. (can be more than one) so a full set of subjects will be posted to inform the people of the Marathon. Send an email at chaniatangomarathon@gmail.com to get more info and to apply for this.

Participation is free for all the people of the Marathon(moderators/attendees)











ChaniaTangoMarathon Support

The stuff of the CTM , is a group of volunteers ,dedicated  tango dancers, who will support you from the moment that you put your foot on Chania, till the end of your stay. Each one of the participants is going to be in personal contact with one or more members of the stuff , for last minute informations, questions and anykind of help.





A list of Suggested restaurants and shops, is available, that will have special prices for the ChaniaTangoMarathon people.
You can also get great accommodation prices in case that you want to extend your stay or arrive earlier in Chania. Contact the CTM stuff for more info about that.
